President - Richard Nelson, V​

Richard (Ricky) Nelson, V graduated from Florida Atlantic University with his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, with minors in Computer Science & Business. Ricky is currently a Mechanical Engineer at Motorola Solutions and owns multiple businesses. He's led multiple teams and businesses in a variety of industries, and has a passion for volunteering, youth in STEM, and giving back to his community.

VP of Relationships & Communications - Gale Nelson, II

Gale Nelson, II graduated from Johnson & Wales University-North Miami with his B.S. in Sports Entertainment & Event Management. He has always been passionate about collaboration in the community; he’s worked directly for a major non-profit organization and will continue to serve his efforts here at the ABA. 

VP of Resource Management - Jhairus Lewis​

Jhairus graduated with a degree in Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University and volunteered in over 15 different organizations for minority and community development. In doing so, he has amassed many relationships with group leaders who he can reliably call to action when the time comes for good change to be made abroad. He's very hands on and upfront about the change he wants to see in the world.

VP of Community Empowerment - Tianna Nelson 

Tianna L. Nelson graduated from University of Florida with her B.S. in Biology and minor in Sociology in 2018. She currently is in her 2nd year of medical school at Nova Southeastern University Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine. She plans on pursuing primary care and holds multiple leadership roles on campus, as well as volunteers in the Broward and Miami-Dade communities.

VP of Change & Improvement - Cymiah Alexander​

Currently studying at Spelman College, Cymiah Alexander is pursuing a degree in Theater Performance and a minor in Psychology. As an ARTivist, she plans to bring social issues to light through her work and will continue to move forward in efforts to create a better future for the world.

Secretary - Marlo Rodriguez​

Entering her last semester at Florida Atlantic University, Marlo Rodriguez is pursuing her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Performance and a minor in Diversity and Global studies. She is an advocate for the for the arts and works towards highlighting the importance of inclusion and justice in all industries.
